How long before the safe seal odor goes away completely? It seals in the particle board odor, but if you put your nose about 5 inches away you can smell the safe seal, it is kinda like a sweet smell, but it does have an odor several days later. Does the odor ever go away? View answer

I use 1.5" rigid (styrofoam) foam insulation boards in the window wells of our passive solar home to keep the sun out in the summer. However the styrofoam sheds and makes a mess on the floor. I'm looking for something to seal the boards so that they will not shed. Will the SafeCoat Safe Seal product be the best choice. Would this product be appropriate, as a first and/or only coat, to seal and protect new, raw white plaster walls (once they are fully dry)? If so, would this product darken the plaster, or dry completely clear? And if I want to tint this product, will the effect be different if the tinted coat is applied OVER an un-tinted coat? Hi- I usually buy only non toxic furniture but recently bought a small table made of mdf and veneer. I do chemical sensitivities so I can't do off gassing. What product in specific can I use to seal in the voc's such as formaldehyde? One table I bought is white and the other is a mirrored glass table bottom (that probably has wood on the inside).
