I have several samples of Marmoleum Cocoa that I like very much but would prefer a much higher gloss sheen. Can this (or Forbo commercial gloss finish) be applied to new Marmoleum for the specific purpose of achieving a higher gloss? I understand that topshield2 does not require additional finish for surface protection. I am simply looking to achieve higher gloss on the Marmoleum Cocoa (without compromising it's durability). If not this product, what could be used to gloss up satin Marmoleum. Thanks. View answer

I need to seal in the off gassing from an IKEA particle board kitchen cabinet that's got melamine foil on the outside and plastic edging. Would this product be the best or would another product work better? It also needs to be durable and provide a waterproof barrier against atmospheric moisture (it's in an RV) and water spills from the sink that's above it. I am scrubbing the sheetrock and studs with safe choice cleaner and thought it a good idea to use 'safe seal' as a final step to help rid any odors from mice urine. I am removing old vinyl tile flooring from the 1980's that was glued down with a black adhesive that has an incredibly strong chemical odor. It doesn't contain asbestos, we had it tested. The subfloor is plywood. The smell is definitely coming from the adhesive because there is no smell at all until the flooring comes up. Can we apply the Hard Seal over the adhesive that's stuck to the subfloor to encapsulate the chemical off-gassing before installing the new wood floor? The last thing I want is for some horrible chemical reaction between this product and the adhesive. (Unfortunately we do have to remove the vinyl flooring rather than lay the new wood flooring over it because it's so uneven.) View answer

I have raw wood paneling in my kitchen and know there will be food, water, and grease splashes. I want to protect the wood and keep a clean home. The paneling is floor to ceiling including behind the sink and stove. There are areas, of course, that will not receive as much splash but I feel like it would be good to protect the whole space with the same product, yeah? My dog has dinner-dates with friends a couple of times weekly, during which morsels of dry dog food are tossed on the floor a couple of pebbles at a time, and the dogs have to listen to where the food lands and/or sniff it out and find it.
