If I use pure and clear over both white oak and pine and will they have a similar color or why do you suggest I do?

My counters are butcher block white oak and I have shelves about that are pine. What rubiomonocoat color stain should I use so they will look the same and have a nice shine

The same stain will in most cases not look the same on different species of wood, based on the color, grain and pores of the wood. The Rubio Monocoat, Oil Plus 2C in Pure (Clear) will look different on oak versus pine. A darker shade with more tint to it may make the two woods appear more similar. We recommend testing the appearance of the stain when applied to scraps of the wood before making a decision.
