We do not plan to cut directly on it but the sink is built into it and it will get wet. I was told that linseed will not protect it from water damage and mildew, is this true? We are creating "hides" for small animals and reptiles out of PVC and other plastic products. We are using a water based "oil" paint to create "logs" for use in animal habitats out our zoo. We are needing a non-toxic clear sealer to protect the paint from wear. Our main concern is toxicity to the animals. Some are rodents and will chew the product. Also, does the sealer come in a spray?I saw a comment that the sealer seemed like decoupage. Would it be possible for us to mix the sealer with our paint to create a texture on our "logs?"
