M1 ultra-low VOC structural adhesive and sealant for cleanrooms
M-1 is a non-toxic, ultra-low VOC, versatile construction adhesive and sealant for cleanroom use. It's a heavy duty product made for areas where outgassing and solvents are not tolerated. It releases virtually no molecular air contamination and contains no isocyanates, which is why it was designed for biomedical, electronic and aerospace cleanrooms.
It works in damp, dry and cold climates down to 30 °F and won't outgas as is common with most urethane sealants. It won't discolor with UV light, and is capable of joint movement in excess of 25% in both compression and extension. M-1 has a 20-minute skin-over time, and is paintable within 24 hours.
This is truly a heavy-duty adhesive/sealant. Chemlink's M-1 bonds well to most construction materials including EPDM, SBS mod bit, aluminum, galvanized metal, engineered plastics, PVC, glass, fiberglass, FRP, wood, EIFS, block, brick, EPS foam, concrete and stone.
M-1 is very similar to Chemlink's Novalink, an all-weather construction sealant. M-1 has lower viscosity, shorter skin-over time, higher shear strength, and it bonds to a few more materials. M-1 is perfect for more heavy-duty jobs. It's really a structural adhesive as well as a sealant.
Works in tough conditions — will cure when damp, dry and cold as low as 30 °F
Superior durable finish — elastomeric; won't shrink; has high hardness and shear strength
Fast-drying — skin-over and rain-ready in 20 minutes; paintable within 24 hours
Easy-to-use — no special tools or mixing required
