LED Energy Star Puck light 10W equivalent to a 60W incandescent
Saves 83% over a 60W incandescent bulb
MaxLite's Energy Star LED Puck light looks like a hockey puck but is a highly-efficient compact bulb that uses only 10 watts of power, saves 83% over a 60-watt compatible and lasts 20 times longer. The payback is only one year or less based on 3 hours per day usage. After that, it's money in your pocket.
The dimensions are 2.47" diameter x 2.97" thick overall. This unit is NOT dimmable, although other models are dimmable by special order.
Not only does this efficient lamp offer big savings, but for a tiny light, the output is 1000 lumens and the color is a 3000K (CCT) warm-white. These LED Puck lights are ideal for small areas like closet lights, ceiling fans, porch lights and any enclosed fixture.
Unlike incandescents, halogens and compact fluorescents (CFLs), LED lamps create light without wasting energy in the form of heat. They run much cooler and can be handled without gloves. If they break, they don't cause panic, because there is no mercury inside like in most CFL bulbs. They also turn on and off instantly, without wearing out a filament or flickering like in CFLs.
But, most importantly, the color accuracy (CRI) is 81 which makes a tomato look like a real tomato instead of pale or ghostly. Gone are the days of weird-looking light bulbs with strange blue or white colors. This bulb will fit into any normal socket, and can be used indoors or outdoors; it will last for 25,000 hours.
All of MaxLite's products are Energy Star rated which means they are UL listed and LM-79 certified to the highest standards of efficiency and luminous efficacy. This product comes with a 5-year limited warranty.
LEDs may cost more initially than normal incandescents or CFL bulbs, but due to falling prices, they are an excellent investment that will save money immediately, and will probably never require that you change a light bulb again.
Wow, very cool (literally!) for a light bulb to be shaped so small, yet with so much lumen output. The small form factor makes it easy to install in tight fitting places and, unlike most other LEDs, this one can be even be used in enclosed spaces.
Features & benefits
Low operating cost/big savings — save 87% on energy; payback in approximately 1 year; average operating cost is $1.20 per year based on 3 hours per day usage.
High-efficiency — 100 lumens per watt (lum/W) vs. 11 lum/w for incandescents and 60 lum/w for CFLs
Reduces cooling costs in summer — operates much cooler; requires less air conditioning
Longer-lasting — no filament or ballast to burn out from over heating; lasts approximately 22 years or 25,000 hours vs. 1,000 hours for incandescents and 10,000 hours for CFLs (based on 3 hrs. per day)
Less lumen degradation — over time, LEDs lose up to 30% of their light output while incandescents and CFLs lose 50% or more
Accurate color — close to incandescents in color, but much more accurate color rendering than CFLs
NOT Dimmable — other dimmable models are available by special order only
Easy-to-install — standard medium Edison base
Use almost anywhere — indoors or outdoors, porch lights, ceiling fans or closet lights
Soft-white appearance — no harsh white or strange blue light
Warranted — 5-year warranty
Energy Star — UL listed and LM-79 certified
Rebate-qualified — all utility companies require a minimum of Energy Star standards
Qualifies for LEED points — up to 16 points for energy and atmosphere, indoor environmental quality, sustainable sites, innovation and design process
