I was wondering if you could ask AFM about whether Safeseal on plywood sheathing would stop water vapor from being able to pass from the inside of the house to the outside. I'm wondering if I am going to cause walls not to be able to dry to the outside because of this product. In a nutshell, does Safeseal affect the permeability of the plywood to allow water vapor to pass through? <BR>I'm reasoning if it stops off gassing of formaldehyde (gas) that it will also stop water vapor (gas) also. Is my reasoning faulty? View answer

We have a garage that we've converted to a cabin for my father. We put up chipboard walls and ceiling. He is chemical sensitive to the off-gassing. Would applying AFM Safe Seal to the already-installed boards solve the problem? We would only be treating one side of the boards. View answer

Fish/Aquarium Safe?Is AFM SafeSeal safe for aquarium fish? Our scenario is we have an aquarium stand with some particle board elements that needs to be sealed up (we would not be using directly on the tank itself). The air pump would be drawing in any vapors, is our primary concern. View answer

Wondering if this or the hard seal is better for wall panels that are finished (white glossy side using as dry erase board) on one side then just the raw pressboard type material on the back. I just want to be able to seal the backside that is putting off the odors. Which would be best? View answer

I just remodel my master bathroom. I also painted (Behr Marquee paint) and added new Pergo engineered hardwood floors. Unfortunately I haven't been able to sleep in my bedroom. As soon as I enter the room my nose, eyes and throat feel irritated. I have been having more frequent asthma attacks. I can feel that something is wrong in my bedroom and or bathroom. Which sealer should I use on my floor and which should I use on my walls. What do you recommend? View answer

I'm suffering from severe allergies and breathing difficulties and I'm not sure what's causing my problems. We're doing some renovation. I need AFM Safe Seal for the plywood flooring before we put on the bamboo flooring. I'm very sensitive to smells. Lately, it has gotten worse since my husband and his friend have started doing the kitchen. Please advise me which AFM product to get. Looking forward to hearing from you. View answer

We are interested in using your SafeCoat oil/wax sealer for our soon-to-be sanded 80+ year-old oak floors. We live outside Detroit, Michigan. How long does shipping normally take once ordered? Also, when is it safe to apply and what is the ballpark estimated drying time before floors can be walked on? View answer

I bought an antique oak store counter that I am using for my kitchen island. I want to make the top more water/stain resistant, but I am not going to prep food directly on the counter top. Are there any products I can use to do this without sanding off the current stain? View answer
