I have a leftover gallon of SafeCoat Hardseal in Gloss that I want to use as the initial coat over the stain and then add a top coat of Acrylacq in Satin or Gloss. I am building a small kit home on Helical piles in MO. There will be 2 inch pine tongue and groove flooring directly over the joists with no vapour barrier or insulation. The joists and skids are rough sawn hemlock. Would the Vermont Natural Coatings, Exterior, Penetrating Water Proofer be a good product to coat the underside of the 2" flooring, the joists, and the skids with? The skids will only contact the brackets of the helical piles and not come in contact with the ground at all. There should be air flow and limited if any sun exposure. I am concerned with preventing moisture buildup, mold, etc.... and not having to reapply a product later on because that would be extremely difficult to access. View answer

I am ordering Rubio Monocoat for my hardwood floors. I have a few questions. I am interested in purchasing the raw wood cleaner and the natural soap that is recommended in the application instructions. I don't think they are available on your site. Do you have alternate products that you recommend? Also, are the application and buffer pads that you show the regular nylon pads that would come with the floor buffer that I would rent? Lastly, I'm mixing two colors 1/2 and 1/2. If I store the extra - will it sit ok with the colors mixed together, or should I only mix them in each batch as I go, the way I'd mix in the step 2 oil.
