I carve signs out of pine. I spray paint the carved text and graphics, and when the paint is dry I plane the wood to remove the paint from the top surface. I have a problem with the paint bleeding into the grain of the wood at the edge of the letters and graphic. I need to seal a bare carved wood before spray painting to prevent the paint from bleeding. Will this product work for that purpose? View answer

Does the tint of the stain make the wood look painted? I have weathered cedar pickets--some are very grey. About 25 years ago, when I applied boiled linseed oil to aged-grey pickets, it brought out the natural grains without a painted look. However, I am opposed to using a toxic product. I am trying to figure out if I should use the PolyWhey in a brownish color or the waterproofer; the challenge is I don't want a painted look, but I also want to revive the aged-grey pickets and restore some natural color. Any suggestions? View answer

Last year we bought a finch pine picnic table with a clear coat finish. Since the table lives outdoors, we want to keep it well-protected by applying a fresh coat every spring. Is this the best product of yours to protect an exterior finch pine picnic table? Thank you. View answer

I'm applying a Marmorino water-resistant Venetian plaster on my backsplash and I'm wondering about the feasibility of using it behind the stove as well. I need a sealer that is water, grease, and heat resistant. Would this product be recommended for that? More specifically, if it would stand up to the heat that it would be exposed to being behind a decently high-powered gas range stove. Thank you! View answer

Hi there, I recently bought a dresser for our baby. In the details it says it's made in North America with non-toxic laminated particle board. It is manufactured wood. It says non-toxic, but there is a pretty strong smell in the room. Would this product be safe to put in the drawers? View answer

My dog has dinner-dates with friends a couple of times weekly, during which morsels of dry dog food are tossed on the floor a couple of pebbles at a time, and the dogs have to listen to where the food lands and/or sniff it out and find it. (Great 1/2 hour activity for inclement weather!) Would it be safe for our dogs to lick up morsels of food off the floor with this product on it? Thanks. View answer

Hi! Frequent shopper from your inventory. I have a new dresser in solid parawood to build for my son. I discovered that the back panels and bases to the drawers are plywood/particle board. I want to use the maple stain but which sealer is the best for sealing out any off gassing, that is also the safest for his clothing to touch? View answer
