Hi, I'm wondering if this product could be used to protect from off-gassing from a linoleum floor? The finish has worn off due to faulty cleaning, and is now off-gassing. we'd prefer to not change the floor entirely. I'm creating closet shelves with raw MDF boards. I'm concerned about formaldehyde off-gassing from the MDF. How to incorporate the odor-blocking sealants into my workflow? Apply AFM Safecoat Hard Seal (or is Safe Seal better here?) on the raw MDF, wait for sealer to dry, then apply primer and cabinet paint? I am looking for a product for my new raw butcher block countertop that will not yellow or amber the wood. I know you usually recommend the penetrating oil for this purpose but when testing a sample piece of wood with mineral oil we did not love the yellow look of the wood. I assume any of the natural hemp oils/blends will do the same. I read online I need a water based sealer or finish. Which would be the safest to do so?
