I have a nursery dresser I purchased that after a month still seems to off gassing. It only smells when I open the dresser drawers. The drawers are a plywood and the inside of the dresser itself is painted. Which one of your products do you recommend to seal the drawers and the inside of the dresser? The dresser finish is a matte or a satin white. View answer

First, I am working with raw, unfinished wood. Do I need to use a different penetrating oil, such as your hard oil, first? The description seems to think so, but most of the recommendations in the answer sections do not. Second, can a normal paint be applied over top of this finish? I'm trying to find a safe way to make wooden cake toppers. My thought is to treat the entire topper with this to seal it, and then paint the top portion as usual leaving the posts where food may contact with just the food grade finish. View answer

I'd like to try a sample of BioShield wood counter finish. I have an old oak table with all the finish worn off. We wash it all the time and the kids play on it with their clay, etc. We would like to roll out pie crust on it, etc. And would like to wash it without the water soaking into the wood. Do you have a better recommendation? View answer

I am looking for some moisture protection on my new interior maple wood sills, with the purpose being better able to keep plant pots on them without water damaging the wood. 1) How helpful would this product be if the plants are in terracotta pots? 2) Can it be applied over your hard oil # 9? I have a raw wood countertop and I love the light wood color and do not want it to "yellow" when sealing it. If I get the 5% white stain, will this compensate for the "yellowing"? Also, when applying the stain, will it darken if you overlap when applying it? for example, when i applied one of your darker stains on another counter, one coat was perfect, but I had to do some touch-ups and everywhere i touched-up was extra dark from the stain overlapping. Is this the same with the lighter colors? View answer

I am extremely chemical sensitive so I am unable to use any stains or finishes with VOCs. I need to redo my hardwood floors as well as trim. Your Monocoat sounds like a godsend for me. My problem is, my wife likes at least a semi-gloss shine. Is there any way to use the Monocoat and the Universal Maintenance Oil to get a higher shine? I told her about the satin but she doesn't think that will be enough. View answer

I discovered when I used Bon Ami (calcium carbonate) on my Marmoleum that I was able to get some long-standing stains off of the floor. I have faithfully used the Marmoleum cleaner and finish for the last five years, but I think I can restore some bad staining with Bon Ami. If I do that, and then apply finish after I'm done, will it hurt the floor? View answer
