I am hoping to safely cover a wood cabinet that still has a small amount of lead paint residue. I want a product that will provide a clear finish. It is the inside of a bathroom vanity, so some water resistance is required. Would this product be recommended for my project? Thank you! View answer

I have an old township road bridge plank that I am wanting to refinish and make interior shelving. The plank has a tar odor emitting. I am looking for a clear odor blocking sealer, and would LIKE to be able to keep the rustic look, but have nicely finished. Product advice? View answer

I am putting in a western red cedar tongue and groove ceiling in our campervan: approximately 6' wide and 10'long. How much might I need (wondering if I should get smaller cans vs. The larger ones) and is this the best product to use for this application? It will encounter moisture from cooking (although we do have fans) Thanks! View answer

We have a plain, flat black wooden headboard that we have had for 11 years. Most of the time it is fine but occasionally there is a faint musty odor coming from it. It has never been wet, we keep it clean, and would like to keep it. Is there a non glossy, clear coat we can apply (no VOCs) which will help seal the wood and eliminate the occasional odor? Would this product be appropriate, as a first and/or only coat, to seal and protect new, raw white plaster walls (once they are fully dry)? If so, would this product darken the plaster, or dry completely clear? And if I want to tint this product, will the effect be different if the tinted coat is applied OVER an un-tinted coat? And finally, if I someday want to paint over this product with ordinary wall paint, will it require any special preparation? Thank you! View answer

I am searching for products that can recoat an existing indoor concrete floor (20 yrs old) that has already been coated in different areas with and Epoxy coating, Ardex coating, and concrete sealer. We want to unify the floor with one product that can coat them all. I can't tell if this product will be able to do that. Technical information leads to a parent company that does not offer product technical support from what I can tell. Do you know if this product can do that? View answer

I need a water based matte polyurethane/sealer to keep my floors in tact from cat urine (I know gross, old sickly cat) I have some concrete self leveler applied to one area and osb wood in other spots. I'm looking for a job toxic water based solution that will hold up on floors. Also we are going to be doing hardwood floors and looking for a water based solution for that as well? View answer

I'm thinking of getting an Ikea wardrobe cabinet (Pax), but the sides of the shelves are exposed particle board. The inside of the sidewalls have peg holes for the adjustable shelves. These holes (approx. 1/4" round and deep) are also exposed particle board. Which AFM product would be best to use to seal these? In addition, if I decide to seal the whole cabinet (the Ikea description says it is made of fibreboard and paper foil) which AFM product would I use? Are AFM sealer products completely inert when dry? (i.e. absolutely no smell) View answer

I have a wood piece of dining room furniture from South America that has really nasty odor when I open the doors. Smells toxic. Finish inside is yellow. I want to ensure is safe to store items inside. Not sure what product of yours to use since I do not know if finish on interior is oil- based or not? it's a pretty piece & have been using as decoration only but will need to sell if I can't also use for storage. Thanks. View answer

We are using interior plywood as a temporary floor in our yurt. Do we need to seal both sides of the sheet? The interior plywood we will use as a temp floor sits on a platform of exterior plywood and will be covered with the interior plywood, do we need to seal the exterior plywood of the platform too?
