I have put up paintable wallpaper in my kitchen. I painted it with a pearl metallic water based paint and didn't notice the cancer warning. Now I am wondering if I get your AFM Safecoat Polyureseal BP could I brush or roll a coat of this on to seal off the other paint and be able to wipe down any splatters with only 1 coat? I am worried that sanding would be difficult or impossible with the textured wall paper design to do more coats. View answer

Hi, I'm looking to use a sealer on our newly bought outdoor patio table which is made from a lightweight polyresin blend with a concrete powder (according to the manufacturer). Which product would you recommend? The manufacturer claims it already has pretty good protection however oils could in some cases cause stains. View answer

I discovered oak floors in my kitchen after pulling up layers of vinyl flooring. I want to sand the floor and protect with a non-toxic product that will stand up to a kitchen, My concern is to protect a floor susceptible to water food splashes etc. I can't leave the home and am sensitive to toxic fumes. What product would you recommend? View answer

Is this the best product to prevent cracking on Bamboo poles? I purchased Vermont Natural Coatings, Exterior, Penetrating Waterproofer and applied to Bamboo poles. I sealed outside and inside of Bamboo poles. but it did not prevent cracking after I put water inside the Bamboo pole. Thus, I'm looking for a product:1) Strong waterproof sealing that prevents Bamboo poles to absorb water.2) Prevents cracking on Bamboo poles. I would be appreciated if you give me the answer. Hi. My contractor used Great Stuff Gap and Cracks spray foam to seal cracks throughout our under-construction home. Due to asthma, allergies, and general sensitivity to chemicals and smells, I had specifically requested no high VOC materials, poly-isocyanates, polyurethane, etc. -- all of which are in this product. They used the foam where the subfloor meets the wall, around plumbing penetrations, and around electrical boxes. Removing the spray foam is dangerous and maybe impossible. Can I seal the foam to prevent a lifetime of off-gassing? Would Hard Seal work for that purpose? Or is there some other approach? Thanks! View answer

I have several samples of Marmoleum Cocoa that I like very much but would prefer a much higher gloss sheen. Can this (or Forbo commercial gloss finish) be applied to new Marmoleum for the specific purpose of achieving a higher gloss? I understand that topshield2 does not require additional finish for surface protection. I am simply looking to achieve higher gloss on the Marmoleum Cocoa (without compromising it's durability). If not this product, what could be used to gloss up satin Marmoleum. Thanks. View answer

I am removing old vinyl tile flooring from the 1980's that was glued down with a black adhesive that has an incredibly strong chemical odor. It doesn't contain asbestos, we had it tested. The subfloor is plywood. The smell is definitely coming from the adhesive because there is no smell at all until the flooring comes up. Can we apply the Hard Seal over the adhesive that's stuck to the subfloor to encapsulate the chemical off-gassing before installing the new wood floor? The last thing I want is for some horrible chemical reaction between this product and the adhesive. (Unfortunately we do have to remove the vinyl flooring rather than lay the new wood flooring over it because it's so uneven.) View answer
