On the sample for Moisture Block it says "It is recommended to also install a moisture resistant film over concrete or any substrate where moisture is a concern." So does that mean an additional plastic film along with the Moisture Block? Trying to understand what to do on a concrete basement floor under waterproof cork (interlock, no glue). View answer

We are planning to install this under floating cork on top of an unsealed concrete basement floor. I understand this will protect the cork from moisture damage...however, is it possible that mold will grow between the plastic vapor barrier and the concrete? Thanks. View answer

HELP! We have a 2 inch pine T&G floor in our cabin that doubles as our floor and subfloor over an unheated crawl space. We suspect mold is coming up from the crawl space and need to seal off the pine floor. We would like to put cork down … what barrier do we put down over the pine and under the cork? The pine floor is finished with 3 coats of Ecos paints brand tinted varnish. View answer

Hi, So I am looking to put down carpet tiles that I got online in my rental apartment but notified that the most recent ones I ordered did not come with a rubber backing and was looking at this product as a potential solution. The reason for this project is to protect the hardwood floors I have underneath as I have a cat that is in her senior years and is bound to have future mishaps. Would this help to protect my wood floors underneath from cat urine? View answer

We are planning to install Marmoleum click tiles and panels in the kitchen, bathrooms, and laundry room of our cabin. The rooms are small and oddly shaped and we wondered whether Moisture Block needs to seal at the edges of the room? We will likely need to use self-leveler in some areas as well to ensure that the floors are flat enough for installation, should we order cork instead? View answer

I'm making 16.5" high raised cedar planting beds for vegetables. Is MP-Global-Moisture-Block safe to use to line the inside of the planting bed (to block moisture from the cedar wood planks)? Is it safe for the soil and vegetables to stay in contact with this lining? Also, is this product still bio degradable? How often should I replace this lining?Or, this product is not designed for outdoor use in this way? View answer

I have a condo with above grade concrete floors. Would I be able to apply this moisture block on the concrete then install my wood floors directly on top of it? It is solid hardwood. I don't plan on using a plywood subfloor (plywood has toxic chemicals and I'm not interested in going through the off-gassing process). View answer

Hello, I have extreme multiple chemical SENSITIVITY. I need a vapor barrier membrane for my dirt floor crawl space. It needs to be free of formaldehyde, bleach, petroleum free, so the smell doesn't come up into home. Also need chemical free spray foam too or something to seal under floor joists. Crawl space is 3 feet high.Do you have a shellac that would not crack to cover a wood floor? View answer
