To me, these have a natural, wool-like scent, similar to a wool pad. Since everyone’s nose and tolerance vary, it’s strongly recommended that you order a sample of this rug pad and see what it smells like to your nose before purchasing.
NOTE: This product does contain wool, so if you have a wool allergy, this would not be the pad for you.

Question: Would this work for a thin rug?
Answer: Yes, it was made for that.
Question: How does the wool attach to the rubber? Are any glues used?
Answer: Just checked with the manufacturer and they said that there are no glues used. It is natural latex and wool. That's all.
Question: Would this be safe to use over Amorim waterproof cork flooring (cork look)?
Answer: Yes.
Question: Does this pad have clay or other fillers in the rubber?
Answer: Made with 100% untreated natural wool on the top layer and natural rubber backing for non-slip. These pads contain no synthetic rubber, SBR (Styrene-Butadiene Rubber), or other harmful chemicals.
Question: can you cut this down to size?
Answer: Yes! Per the product page, " If your area rug is a slightly different dimension, it can be cut to fit with a knife or shears. "
Question: Would this be suitable for under a mattress in a teardrop camper?
Answer: That is not what it's made for and we've never heard of it being used for that, so we can't comment either way. This was designed to go under carpet and area rugs, period.
Question: how do you clean this Wool Non-Slip Area Rug Pad?
Answer: The Earth Weave Nature-Loc Wool Non-Slip Area Rug Pad can be cleaned with a suction-only vacuum, like a shop vac. For a deeper clean, you can use a mild detergent and a damp rag on the rubber backed portion of the Nature-Loc pad. To clean spills on the wool portion, only use cleaners which are approved for wool and gently blot them. Do not scrub. If a liquid is used, do not oversaturate it.
