Question: Does this have any effect on the finish of hardwood floors? We just pulled up an old rug pad, and it has left permanent marks in finish of the wood floors
Answer: Our rug pads will not leave any marks on your finished floors.
Question: Can this be used under a rug on a heated floor?
Answer: No problem using the Nature-Loc over a radiant heated floor. We have radiant heat in our home and have this pad for many years with no visual impact on the surface of the hardwood floor.
Question: Can I use this rug between carpeting and a rug?
Answer: Because the backing of it is the Earth Weave Rubber Rug Gripper, which is made of 100% natural rubber and for use on hard surfaces, it is not recommended over carpet. We sell none that are recommended for use over carpet.
Question: Can I have a custom size rug made to fit my area?
Answer: Yes, you can. Call 641-323-6111 and we will have to reach out to Earth Weave for pricing on the size, color, and carpet line you provide.
Question: Does the pad keep the house warmer?
Answer: It does have an R-value of about 1/2 to 1 and is certainly warmer than using the rug gripper or no pad at all. However, this will not replace insulating underneath your floor or in your walls. It will prevent cold from transferring through and make that area of the rug warmer.
Question: Where is this made?
Answer: It is made at Earth Weave in Georgia.
Question: Does this work with a flatweave cotton rug?
Answer: If the cotton is very thin it would be better to use the Rug Gripper. Please order samples of both to see what works best for your specific rug.
