I want to paint and seal some acoustic ceiling tiles in the bathroom. The paint will be water-based. Will Safecoat Hardcoat adhere to this painted surface? Loving this product so far. However, I'm confused on what's the best protocol for sanding. I've heard that before applying oils/sealers, it's best to sand a little, as it 'roughs up' the surface a bit to allow for better oil penetration. Is this true? Also, on the official "Technical Information and Application" PDF for this product, it states "For best absorbency, all surfaces should be sanded NO FINER than #100". But this leaves the surface fairly rough - can I not sand it more finely, creating a smoother wood surface? Thanks a bunch! View answer
