Waterproof Click - Floating Q&A
Activity timeframe
I live in a rental and want to instal this over the current kitchen tile. The apartment is an open concept layout so basically I would be putting this over just part of a room. Is there a way to deal with edges that are open to the room (not a wall)? Or if I just left them, would the tiles/planks come apart? View answer

Getting ready to install the Marmoleum Click we received yesterday. In those areas where the panels must be cut to fit around obstructions or can't be angled in, Forbo's instructions call for shaving down the groove side of the panel and to use "wood glue" to substitute for the click mechanism. They don't specify what type of "wood glue." Am I free to use the "Titebond II" indoor/outdoor wood glue that I have on hand? One video that I found recommends using vinyl adhesive caulk, which gave me some cause for concern. Thank you in advance for your response! View answer

I am interested in the Marmoleum planks. I will be installing it over a wood subfloor. My question concerns the density of the planks. In the room will be two steel production tables on casters that weigh about 500 lbs each. Do I need to be concerned about these planks dimpling under the weight of these tables? Also, will the planks stay flat and in place after repeated moving of the tables over time? View answer

We'd like to install the new "Click" flooring in our bathroom; however, there is a small incline in our 105 year-old home. Is there any flexibility to the Click flooring that would be pliable enough to go over the slight ridge where the incline meets the flat, level floor? View answer

Asking if others note a slight warm tone to Silver Birch color -- looking for something midway between a warm light brown and a cooler gray. Have been looking at gray for 20 years, ready for a change but don't really want to go too dark. Also is Silver Birch available now that it's after Mid July? View answer

I am thinking about getting new flooring. I need the top stiff enough that wheels from a wheelchair, office chairs wheels, walker wheels will not sink down making it harder to roll over. I would like cork underlayment under to make walking and standing easier on your joints. Could I put cork underlayment on any of the three flooring options listed below (if so, will you please tell me how thick the cork underlayment could be and the best density? Option 1) Marmoleum Click (engineered with backing of wood and cork). Option 2) Marmoleum Sheet (glue down, no hard backing) Option 3) Marmoleum Tile (glue down, no hard backing)Also, which one would be the best for wet areas such as the kitchen and bathroom?
