I own a coin laundry with terrazzo floors. There's a small seating area where I'm looking for a product to create a 5'x8' water & slip resistant "area rug." Would Marmoleum Click work? It can't be a tripping hazard and I'm concerned about the edges if the Marmoleum is only used in a small area. View answer

We have a pier and beam older house that we want to replace the kitchen floor with Marmoleum Click Cinch Loc floor. As will all older homes with pier and beam construction the ground shifts. There is an intact wooden subfloor with leveling compound from a previous ceramic tile floor. Is it better to install the squares or planks on this subfloor? View answer

I understand that orders over 185 sq feet ship free but I was considering doing one room (160 sq feet) in one color and a small room (50 square feet) in a different color. It would total over 200 sq ft, but I noticed the shipping was not free. Does it have to be all the same tile that equals 185 sq ft to be free shipping? View answer

I'm curious about the perm rating of marmoleum: to what extent is marmoleum vapor permeable? In the passive house construction world, it's important for every material in the wall/floor/ceiling assemblies to be air and water tight, but to be vapor permeable.Since marmoleum sheets are adhered to the floor with a continuous layer of glue/mastic, or in the case of the click tile product the marmoleum is glued to HDF which is in turn glued to cork, I also wonder if, even though marmoleum on it's own may have an excellent perm rating, the glues render that null? It seems like glues would perform, from a vapor standpoint, like a sheet of plastic... I'd love insight on this! View answer

To what extent do the colors change with exposure to light - and are the samples in the sample kit "mature" in this regard? I'm looking at a photo on this website of a checkerboard kitchen floor made from Caribbean and Barbados and I want exactly that look - but unlike that photo, the 1-1/2 inch samples in Forbo's sample books show these as almost identical tones. My wife and I are about ready to make the marmoleum click purchase, I think, haha...watched all the install videos, checked out images, etc etc...My question for today is, when you put the little spacer chips at the edges of walls in during the install-and lets fast fwd to the job being all done, do you REMOVE those spacers, and set in your baseboard/trim/bullnose/whatever you're finishing the edges with? or do those spacers need to stay in?? I ask because, with it being a FLOATING FLOOR, if I remove the spacers, could the floor shift? View answer

I'm interested in this product but curious if you can install over existing sheet vinyl. We have original sheet vinyl over 3/4 inch plywood subfloor which has some deflection. Is it advisable to put down a thicker underlayment on top first? We actually had LVT installed over the sheet vinyl with grout but the grout started to crumble immediately. So we have to start over. I'd prefer this product since it's also non toxic. But want to make sure it'll hold up on our existing floors. Thank you! View answer
