A minimum gap of 3/8" (10mm) is required for expansion on all sides between the floor construction and the wall. This distance must be provided at all columns, heating pipes, steel door frames, and your brick wall. To hide this gap you could undercut the brick wall, or install molding or baseboard gluing it to the brick, not the floor.
