Can I use marmoleum for countertop? View answer
Asked 5 ´years ago
Getting ready to install the Marmoleum Click we received yesterday. In those areas where the panels must be cut to fit around obstructions or can't be angled in, Forbo's instructions call for shaving down the groove side of the panel and to use "wood glue" to substitute for the click mechanism. They don't specify what type of "wood glue." Am I free to use the "Titebond II" indoor/outdoor wood glue that I have on hand? One video that I found recommends using vinyl adhesive caulk, which gave me some cause for concern. Thank you in advance for your response! View answer

Does the click need a vapor barrier? In my case a 1st floor powder/laundry room with plywood subfloor on top of an unfinished but dehumidified basement? I'm confused by Forbo's subfloor guide, and various answers here for different situations that call for the need or no need for a vapor barrier and the type. Some say just the Moisture Block and some say only use Quiet Walk because it's the only one that wicks moisture? View answer

Do the more "wood look"-esque lined planks have a few variations within the same color or all planks within a color are the exact same print? I ask because for example on Welsh Moor the room visualizer repeats the same dark blotch on every plank which is very noticeable as a repeated print but if there were some variations it would be less noticeable. I see conflicting information about the subfloor requirements for Cinch-Loc. Some comments say max 3/16 over 8' span, others (including Forbo) say 3/32 over 6' span. Also, will the Quiet Walk Plus compensate for 1/16th variation or 3/32 (or, what is considered "little subfloor imperfections")? Thanks. View answer

Does the Marmoleum Click Cinch Loc make a clicking or tapping sound when walking on it? I have looked at floating vinyl plank floors and don't like the sound they make, even when backed with cork or foam. In the past, we used original Marmoleum squares glued on a concrete floor and it was rock solid for 20+ years, but this will be on a newly built OSB floor and we'd prefer not to glue. Thanks for any advice! View answer

I understand that orders over 185 sq feet ship free but I was considering doing one room (160 sq feet) in one color and a small room (50 square feet) in a different color. It would total over 200 sq ft, but I noticed the shipping was not free. Does it have to be all the same tile that equals 185 sq ft to be free shipping? View answer
