I have an underground storage tank (kerosene) that had 2 copper pipes which were terminated and covered with cement and some type of epoxy patch. The patch failed after 13+ years (we bought home not knowing about the tank) - had the cement removed enough to see only one of the two copper pipes was crimped - the other one had a sliw frp - that has been crimped and epoxy applied but basement still smells of kerosene.
