I own Colorado's first certified Built Green home, so you can imagine how hard I tried to get the painters I hired to use zero VOC paint. Despite my best efforts, a new employee of the company inexplicably used EXTERIOR paint on the INTERIOR of my home. !!!!! I want to seal our fiberglass / acrylic bathtub that gets dirty very easily and is very hard to scrub clean. Not 100% sure of the material but it is a dull white that seems a bit porous, it's definitely not enamel over metal or porcelain. It seems like "plastic" which is why it gets so dirty. I have a small home office in my garage. The bottom 10 inches of two walls are concrete, which has been painted over in a high quality standard white paint. 3-4 months after construction and after many days of ventilation, the office still reeks of fumes when the door has been closed more than an hour. I have isolated the smell to the paint on the concrete. While it is very dry to touch, it has moisture coming through the porous concrete.
