I am looking to change the color of my kitchen countertop which is now a butcher block tan color. I would like the countertop to be in white. Is there a formica-type paint available or is the only option to paint the counter top with a glossy white paint and then cover it with the Bioshield Cutting Board Finish? - Thanks, Robert View answer

I have an old deck with mildew etc. I am planning on sanding the deck then cleaning then applying GSDR. I would like a cedar or dark red color. Can I paint over GSDR? Will it fill cracks and if not what product would you recommend either before or after applying GSDR? Would you recommend a primer after cleaning from sanding before applying GDSR? Thanks View answer

How long before the safe seal odor goes away completely? It seals in the particle board odor, but if you put your nose about 5 inches away you can smell the safe seal, it is kinda like a sweet smell, but it does have an odor several days later. Does the odor ever go away? View answer

I am looking for a product for my new raw butcher block countertop that will not yellow or amber the wood. I know you usually recommend the penetrating oil for this purpose but when testing a sample piece of wood with mineral oil we did not love the yellow look of the wood. I assume any of the natural hemp oils/blends will do the same. I read online I need a water based sealer or finish. Which would be the safest to do so? We will not be cutting on the surface or eating directly off of it. I am also looking at your Acrylaq. Thank you for your help! Rebecca View answer

Can I use this over a water based stain on a CVG doug fir floor? I read fir takes water based stains better than oil based stains, and that poly sealers are not good on fir floors. I already bought this product, now I'm wondering if it will work over the water based stain I bought. View answer

We are looking to apply a natural penetrating oil to our floors. We're concerned with the application process involving a buffer. We have 2 x 120 sq ft areas, a smaller 60 sq ft area and 2 small hallways (6'x3'); we don't think that using a full size floor buffer will be very easy in small spaces. Is it advisable to use a orbital sander with a buffer pad? Is there any additional application resources we could reference outside of the pdf? View answer

We are a botanic design company in NYC and have a question regarding the safety of this product for use as a waterproof liner for wooden planters. We use custom-fabricated wooden planters for many of our large projects that must be sealed in order to waterproof the interior for planting and watering in an indoor environment. Can you please let me know if the product would be safe to use in this manner having no adverse affect on the plants' health over time? Fingers crossed...Thanks in advance! View answer

Hi, I am looking to seal a cypress, outdoor ceiling as clear as possible with UV protection. I would like to maintain the natural appearance of the wood(no stain), Will your product work for this application without cracking, pealing or discoloring over time? Our GC has used Cabot and it has a natural stain in it that I do not care for. Any assistance is appreciated. View answer
