I'm a guitar builder and looking for an alternative to nitrocellulose lacquer. I've contacted afm haven't got great answers but hopefully you can help. What do you recommend as a vinyl sealer? Is a primer necessary? Can I tint my own colors? How many coats of clear a recommended before level sanding? How long to cure before level sanding? On a side note, is there a $ amount for free shipping? View answer

I am using Densarmour plus drywall. It calls for a high solid primer because the fiberglass has a rougher texture and needs smoothing out. It calls for a 3/8 nap for roller application. will the new drywall primecoat that you sell be thick enough (High solid rating)? Thanks, Dan Barry View answer

I ran out of AFM transitional primer after using three gallons for three rooms, and my painters were not really able to get a good cover on the master bedroom with new drywall. I am not happy with the thin layer of primer that is on the walls. My question is can I use the gallon of ECOS drywall primer over top of AFM transitional primer to get a more even coverage than I have? I like how our other rooms look with a very good coat of AMF and always believed it is important to have good solid coat of primer for a nicer paint finish. View answer

Hi, I am looking to refresh the look of my counter-top dish draining rack. It is strong going but got rusty through the years. What paint/finish would you recommend to use? I am looking for a non-toxic option as people are going to use the draining dishes for food. Thx View answer

I bought a condo with oil based paint and primer and the smell is horrible, even after 2 months. I want to encapsulate the smell; walls, ceilings, cabinets with this. However, this is a coastal property very close to the beach. Is water based paint going to be okay? Would latex be better? Can latex be used over this primer? View answer
