Can Caliwel be painted over Penetrating Concrete Sealer? We have some moisture in our basement well room. The walls are concrete block and we get efflorescence and mold on them. I'd like to keep the mold at bay in there, would the concrete sealer be enough or would we also need Caliwel to prevent mold growth from humidity? (We live in Minnesota, quite humid in the summers and very dry in the winter.) We aren't planning to do anything extraordinary to manage the air moisture in there, there is a door that connects to our finished family room that allows some air to move through the well room . Perhaps the penetrating concrete sealer would be enough? View answer

Are there interactions between Caliwel and other substances or conditions that prevent it from curing or that cause it to break down? We used it on a basement floor and are experiencing burning/allergic symptoms, a strong smell from the product etc. We are wondering what product could be used to paint over and neutralize or seal it? Hi, I am looking for the lowest smelling and off-gassing interior paint for refinishing our house, one that smells the least toxic. We currently have Behr low VOC and it still stinks so much. What brand would you recommend? I would like to have colors, not only white. Thank you. View answer

I want to restore some old, neglected garden stick tools (shovels, rakes etc.) I plan to thoroughly de-rust the metal with an electrolysis tank and a Scotch-Brite scrub. I would then like to recoat with rust-inhibiting, abrasion resistant products that won't contaminate my soil when they inevitably do wear off. Does this product fit my needs? What about a top coat recommendation? View answer

I would like to use this to paint my old wooden bedroom furniture that has a finish on it. it's important that there are no paint smells coming off of it, as the headboard and night table are close to my head when sleeping. I don't want to sand it down. Can I just use the regular safecoat paint without sanding and using the primer? Does the primer have more of a smell than the regular paint? Primers usually have stronger smells. View answer

I bought a condo with oil based paint and primer and the smell is horrible, even after 2 months. I want to encapsulate the smell; walls, ceilings, cabinets with this. However, this is a coastal property very close to the beach. Is water based paint going to be okay? Would latex be better? Can latex be used over this primer? View answer

I want to seal only the underside of a galvanized steel stock tank with Dynoseal. it's specs state good adhesion to metal but not specifically galvanized metals. Would it be best to apply this metal primer first then apply the Dynoseal? Are these two products chemically compatible? Is this two step process even necessary? I'm unsure if the Dynoseal will adhere well to the galv steel on it's own. Thank you! View answer
