SAMPLE - AFM SafeCoat, New Wallboard Primecoat Q&A
Activity timeframe
We are adding new sheetrock (wet rated and ceiling both) to a bathroom remodel (all walls). Is the New Wallboard the right primer or is it not suitable for wet rated sheetrock, such as the Mold tough line from USG? Half of the walls in the bathroom will be tiled. View answer

I have recently stripped some wallpaper and am now left with drywall that has some glue and quite a few little places where th drywall paper covering has pulled away. My understanding is that the conventional process to deal with this is to apply an oil based sales, then skim coat, then sand, then prime and paint. I am looking for something less toxic for the first two steps of this process(oil based sealer and skim coat with joint compound). Would this project work in lieu of the oil based sealer? If so, would it be ok to do a skim coat over it? View answer

I am wanting to block in as much off gassing as possible from new drywall in an entire house. Is this the best option for new drywall? I assume AFM paint would be the best to use with this primer, but could I also use ECOS paint with this primer? I just want to seal in as much as possible throughout my entire house. View answer

I am using Densarmour plus drywall. It calls for a high solid primer because the fiberglass has a rougher texture and needs smoothing out. It calls for a 3/8 nap for roller application. will the new drywall primecoat that you sell be thick enough (High solid rating)? Thanks, Dan Barry View answer
