So, according to your installation guidelines, your surface prep instructs "If water drops fail to penetrate quickly, surface may need additional attention to create proper surface profile." Unfortunately for us, our garage floor was sealed, 20+ years ago, and still holds up quite well repelling liquids. This space will specifically be used for living area. I've done a LOT of research, and it seems the acid etch will not be sufficient to create a proper surface profile. Can you verify that my only option would be to use a concrete grinder to adequately prepare the floor surface for application of this product? Thanks! View answer

Can I paint my old concrete basement floor with this? Does it require a primer? I have sealed small cracks that naturally form in the basement concrete through time. Our concrete was poured in the 70's and is still in good shape. Looking to make it look nicer. Not heavily used and will put throw rugs or carpet in areas over it. I am chemically sensitive. Would this be a good replacement for epoxy on top of a slab, under a vapor barrier and engineered hardwood? The slab is fully dry (poured 2 years ago) and has a properly taped Stego vapor barrier so it should get minimal to no vapor. I just want to slow any additional vapor that might try to evaporate into the flooring. View answer

Hello! This looks like a great product for our garage floor. What would you recommend for the garage walls (and basement walls)? They have not been painted in decades, have been known to get damp (even wet after heavy rainfall). Would you recommend sanding first (with what product), then priming (with anything in particular), and then painting? We'd like a product that is eco-friendly/non-toxic/low-VOC but that will also hopefully protect against moisture/mildew etc. Thanks very much! View answer

Does AFM SafeCoat, Concrete Floor Paint block formaldehyde emissions? At first I was looking at AFM Safecoat Safeseal to put on part of the concrete floor to seal in formaldehyde, but that's only for plywood type surfaces apparently. But I liked that one because it blocked/sealed formaldehyde 100% and was very low VOC (around 22). View answer

They have some mildew I can't get off with the cleaners I have...what should I use as paint, and how should I prepare the walls?
