I'm creating closet shelves with raw MDF boards. I'm concerned about formaldehyde off-gassing from the MDF. How to incorporate the odor-blocking sealants into my workflow? Apply AFM Safecoat Hard Seal (or is Safe Seal better here?) on the raw MDF, wait for sealer to dry, then apply primer and cabinet paint? Or apply primer and cabinet paint first, then apply the AFM Hard Seal as the final layer? I need the final finish to be durable and ideally a semi-gloss texture. Thank you View answer

I have a small home office in my garage. The bottom 10 inches of two walls are concrete, which has been painted over in a high quality standard white paint. 3-4 months after construction and after many days of ventilation, the office still reeks of fumes when the door has been closed more than an hour. I have isolated the smell to the paint on the concrete. While it is very dry to touch, it has moisture coming through the porous concrete.
