I've built a flat file art cabinet that's has big drawers (20"x 40") out of sanded plywood. Wood came from Ecuador (smells awful) it's off gassing in the garage for 2 months and it still smells. Would you recommend SafeSeal or Hard Seal for the drawer bottoms or something else? All chemicals/smells need to be sealed as it will be in my bedroom.1. When coating is it best to do the tops of the drawers, let it cure for a day, then flip the drawers and do the bottoms, or can I do both in 1 day?2. SafeSeal and Hard Seal say don't use over oil based products. I primed/painted the cabinets with oil based paint, then painted over with fusions mineral waterbased paint, can I use Safe or HardSeal to seal in that color on the outside of the cabinet? I have a small home office in my garage. The bottom 10 inches of two walls are concrete, which has been painted over in a high quality standard white paint. 3-4 months after construction and after many days of ventilation, the office still reeks of fumes when the door has been closed more than an hour. I have isolated the smell to the paint on the concrete. While it is very dry to touch, it has moisture coming through the porous concrete. I stumbled upon your product and want to try to seal the smell. What product is optimal for ending off-gassing in this case--over paint which is over concrete? View answer

My dad has fabricated a hunting cabin using an existing metal building. The interior has been enclosed in plywood on ceilings and walls, insulated with roll-out insulation in between the metal walls and plywood. We used caulking and glue to seal in all the spaces and cracks. The building seems to be off-gassing, and it actually made him sick a few days after he stayed in it last year. I want to seal it before he comes back in November. I talked to an ecoadvisor, was recommended the HardSeal since we are not planning on painting, keeping the natural, rustic look. The cabin is 440 sq ft, how many gallons will I need to cover with one coat? I will need to coat the ceilings too, basically the whole interior. I plan on using a sprayer. View answer

Hi, I'm hoping someone can answer this that has a lot of experience with the products as I don't want to mess up my cabinets and flooring by sealing them incorrectly. I bought a 4.5 year old home and I am not feeling well in the home. It's probably outgassing? The flooring is a wood laminate. Are there any products that could be used to seal the laminate floor? Any other suggestions if not? And also, what about cabinets. Is there a seal for the cabinets given they are not painted but stained a dark espresso color? I would not want to mess up the finishes on them but at the same time I cannot be sick in my home so any suggestions you have would be greatly appreciated. I will do what it takes to be stay healthy. My daughter just rented space for a golf cart business where the owners have covered all the walls in particle board. They did this just before she took possession. It is unpainted - raw. I was looking at how to paint it when I learned this product is toxic. I understand your products can cover surfaces and make them safer. I thought the best would be the Safecoat Hard Seal but it is a gloss finish and I don't see that it's available in any other finish. How could we paint the walls in a colored paint over a gloss finish? The other option was the Safecoat Safe Seal but can this be used on walls like the Hard Seal? If not, can you please tell me what would work. She is sensitive to chemicals and now has entered a year lease! Please help! View answer

I own Colorado's first certified Built Green home, so you can imagine how hard I tried to get the painters I hired to use zero VOC paint. Despite my best efforts, a new employee of the company inexplicably used EXTERIOR paint on the INTERIOR of my home. !!!!!
