Would this be a good replacement for epoxy on top of a slab, under a vapor barrier and engineered hardwood? I am going to use this in a basement. The subfloor/ceiling is rough sawn cedar and sanding would be labor intensive, we are not able to do that and would just rather paint over them as is. There are stains from mold that was treated with concrobium, and we want to use either the coating or primer over it. We will likely use a bright white paint over the first coat but are undecided about that at this point. What would you recommend we use? The contractors we had out to look were going to use a toxic encapsulation coating after mold removal and we want to be sure the mold is not just sandwiched, but gone. View answer

I plan to paint over some oak wood trim. I will give it a light sanding first as it is covered in a glossy finish. Would this primer work? I see it says it is for wood, but then later mentions it's not recommended for certain woods. I don't know much about tannins. What would you recommend I use before paint.
