Would this work on a dining room table? I recently refinished and am at raw wood. Am trying to understand best path forward? If I can use this, do I need a polymer sealer as well? Also am thinking of ordering samples of colors, can they be mixed to create further colors? View answer

How do you compare this product (Rubio Monocoat Hybrid Exterior Wood Protector) and Bioshield Penetrating Oil Sealer? I am looking to use something to reseal and protect my exterior eucalyptus wood furniture that has had some lacquer finish in the past but is capable of accepting oils at this time. The furniture company itself recommends a linseed or teak oil (but a generic one with chemicals of course). View answer

I want to use Rubio Monocoat 2C to stain & seal some new unfinished drawers I'm installing in the pantry. it's a high-touch surface, sometimes with oily hands (cooking!). I want minimal maintenance. I'd like to be able to just wipe them clean with a wet rag, like I do on my latex-painted cabinets. Should I seal with something else after the 2C? View answer

I have a 40 year old teak dining room table. After wiping it down there are areas that are lighter than others from rubbing too hard. can I apply this Koloranti teak oil to blend the light and darker areas to make them less noticeable without stripping the wood down first. I am not looking for perfection just an improvement? Thank you View answer

I put a coating of deck revive on my deck a few years ago, but there are places where it has peeled a little. I also have some boards that needed to be replaced so I need to put on a fresh coat on those boards. Do I need to apply the Permabond over those areas of the Deck revive that need a little touch up? Or just apply the new deck revive over the existing coat? View answer

The original flooring in my historic (1923) house is red pine, very common in this neighborhood (Fairmont district, Fort Worth TX). We uncovered it a year ago and it looks like most areas were not finished but simply covered. I really like the hand rubbed Matt look and nontoxic aspects of Rubio Monocoat Oil Plus. Would this be a good stain and sealer for these floors? View answer

I've read everything and still don't understand. Do I need to purchase other products to use this kit? I know I need a gallon of gloss paint, but I'm seeing links to other products as well. This is already very expensive for very small coverage. The kit doesn't come with everything I'll need, aside from the paint? One ingredient isn't available anymore and Quickrete is the required replacement. Is this non-toxic? Thank you. View answer

I am planning on making an epoxy river table. I have heard a lot of good things about the Monocoat Oil + 2C Kit. How well would this work for sealing a dining table, against the normal wear and tear one might see there, like heat, water, and food spills? Would I need to re-apply on a schedule? Is it safe? I have a teak outdoor couch from CB2 (search Naya Sectional online) that has started to turn grey. I am looking for alternatives to "teak oil" which apparently doesn't work that well. However, I know that teak is a special wood because it has so much oil naturally in it. Can I use the Rubio Hybrid Exterior Wood protector on this couch, and what color would you recommended to help preserve the golden color? "teak" color? View answer

Is this product appropriate to seal a new, outdoor (under patio roof, will not be rained on) freshly assembled, painted by manufacturer, metal planter box? I want to seal the edges and prevent leaks at side seams for watering plants. If this product is not the proper one, do you have something that is? View answer

Hi Sasha,I asked earlier about the Rubio oil being adequate to seal formaldehyde. You said no and sent me a list of other products by AFM that would possibly work. The project involved is particle board walls which need to be sealed to be safe for me. Because I am so exquisitely sensitive to formaldehyde, it would need to be the best one. Can you let me know which one this would be? Thank you, Micheila View answer
