Is the surface porous or uneven? I'm considering using this for flooring in a home pottery studio and want to make sure it can be easily mopped to remove silica dust. I'm not sure what the difference between "damp" and "wet" mopping is. Thanks! View answer

I have read that cork flooring does not do well in places where there are extremes in temperature. We would like to lay cork over a tile floor in Phoenix Arizona where there can be 30 degree changes in temperature in one day, and temps ranging from the 40 in the winter to 115 in the summer. Humidity is usually low - it is 17% today. Of course, our homes are AC/heat controlled, but failures can happen. Will cork floors work in this setting? View answer

I love, love, love this waterproof cork. Unfortunately someone dropped something really sharp on it and there is a tiny gouge in the surface--not even a divot, just a tiny bit of the surface was shaved off.
