Is this slip proof for dogs? We currently have laminate and have been recommended luxury vinyl to reduce dogs slipping while standing and regular walking but I would prefer a less toxic solution such as cork as long as it will still help my dogs stand and walk comfortably without sliding on the floor. Thank you so much View answer

Hello, I live in a high-rise condo and the HOA requires that the subfloor and flooring meet this class rating, does the waterproof cork flooring and subflooring meet this requirement? "The underlayment must achieve the floor assembly to yield a field "Impact Insulation Class" rating of at least fifty five (55) when tested according to the American Society of Testing Materials Designation E-1007-84 ("Field Measurement of Tapping Machine Impact Sound Transmission Through Floor-Ceiling Assemblies and Associated Support Structures'), and with classification to be in accordance to ASTM designation E-989-84 ("Determination of Impact Insulation Class")." We have a covered porch with a floor of 5/4" x 6" pine decking boards (with a small space between them) over 2x8 joists 20" o.c. that are exposed to weather below. We would like to turn the porch into a 3-season room with waterproof cork for flooring. What kind of subfloor & underlayment would be needed between the decking boards & the cork? Thanks for your help & wonderful products! View answer

I have noticed that the wood look uses rPET or recycled polyethylene terephthalate from water bottles as the top coat. Does the rPET leach out and/or outgas the heavy mental antimony that is used in the manufacturing of PET. Antimony is a heavy metal that is a suspected carcinogen. Since PET in general is considered a one time use plastic that when heated or scratched can possibility release this heavy metal. Since this is a top coat in the cork wood grain product, which has high scratch resistance and I assume no issues with heat, is there any possibility of Antimony being released into the air and/or leaching? Thanks! View answer
