We tested the waterproof-ness ourselves by submerging the boards in water for several days, pulling them out afterword and finding no change in board weight or board stability, no warping. In our books, that makes these waterproof. Most of our other flooring is levels of water resistant, so we appreciate the difference. (You can read an article we wrote on the difference here: https://www.greenbuildingsupply.com/L... ) Installing this below grade over concrete is absolutely fine, provided the concrete is clean, level and dry. You will want to use a moisture barrier between the concrete and the flooring for a floating installation. We recommend QuietWalk Plus for it's slight cushion and wicking properties. The warranty gives details as to what is covered and what is excluded, in short if you install following the installation instructions to the letter (which would include a below grade install over a concrete subfloor) then you are warranted (some exclusions apply) see entire document here : https://www.greenbuildingsupply.com/c...
