We are planning on putting this in a bathroom as well. On their install-info on the website, it states " However, in order to prevent the water to penetrate under the installed floor (which can create conditions for growing of fungus, mold or smell), a polyurethane sealant must be applied on expansion joints. Do you have anything for that? Also, when they joints I assume it means where the boards connect to each other? I am sure normal caulking around the tub etc is standard. View answer

How would this work as flooring for a Sprinter van upfit? It would be laid on top of 3/4" baltic birch with an insulating layer beneath the ply. Would this expand or contract the same way vinyl click flooring does at extreme temperatures (i.e. summer in the desert or winter in the mountains). Thanks! View answer

In the install instructions it says it can be cut with any kind of saw. One of the photos shows a box cutter and in the answer section of someone else's question someone mentioned install can be done without a saw at all. So does it need a saw or not? Can cuts be made cleanly by scoring and snapping? what about lengthwise cuts that could be as much as 48" long? View answer

2 questions: 1. What exactly is the HRT protective surface on the Amorim wise cork tiles? I saw acrylic coating referenced below so is it basically water based poly? How many coats appx? 2. Is there anything I can do to prevent water intrusion/dirt buildup in the cracks between the tiles (other than hire a good installer)? Considering glue down installation to help in this regard. Also saw some other folks have used some kind of adhesive between the tiles on the click lock edges to help them stick/prevent peeling or separation. Any recommendations from you folks/manufacturer? Thank you! View answer

I am considering cork planks in my midsouth home with a crawl space foundation. If I have a plywood subfloor, will I need to put down any underlayment or vapor barrier? I read about using a foam underlayment to help with any imperfections, but I wanted to collect more data about it. View answer
