We recently bought a house with a wood front gate. It appears to be quarter sawn yellow pine. Whatever was used as the initial stain is now flaking off. You can rub your hand across the surface and it comes off down to the bare wood. This is the side of the gate that gets the afternoon sun. From what I have read, the PolyWhey Penetrating Exterior Stain seems to be the best choice. I have a couple of questions though. Will this stain work as stated on yellow pine? Can the stains be tinted as the Acorn Brown is not dark enough? Is there a darker color? View answer

Currently painting our interior hardwoods floors with porch and patio paint. The color is a cream/light grey color. We applied one coat of satin, water based polyurethane sealant and the floors turned yellow. Applied with roller as it is too large of an area to apply with brush. Tried to not apply too thick. Will your sealant NOT turn the floors yellow?? And can it be applied with a roller?? View answer

Hi, we made a toy box from pine for our granddaughter for Christmas and used a min-wax product to stain and seal...it off-gassed terribly for almost 4 months , we sanded it all down to bare wood again..is this product suitable for our project..we want absolutely no odors ? Thank you ! View answer

Would these be effective at safely wiping down groceries/ food containers ( such as glass, plastic and cans)? I normally am not a fan of anything but soap, water and vinegar but our current situation has me thinking this might be potentially more effective and efficient time wise. View answer

Hi! I'm working on a large art project utilizing around 300 dried roses. I would like to find a product that is able to seal and provide a little extra strength to the flowers. I have experimented with a few materials so far and liked to results that came from using a polymer resin but I did not like the glossy finish. Looking online, it is difficult to find any resins that will provide the same strength without high gloss (I am looking for a no-gloss, clear finish). Do you have any products available that you would suggest? I appreciate any input! Thank you! View answer
