I can see in other Q&A's Marmoleum is not a good choice as an area rug over a hardwood floor in a high traffic area. Can't I superglue a grippy felt pad underneath and then lay it on a hardwood floor? For under a dining room table and chairs. Also considering making another rug under an island seating area, w/ bar stools. That's a lot of dragging of chairs, which could have pads on the legs. I'm not sure how I'd border the "rug" so that it doesn't get nicked. Maybe some carpet trim upholstery sewn onto the marmoleum and attached felt rug pad? I thought I could stencil a design onto the marmoleum and then seal it. (Using low-voc products, of course.) Any creative ideas? The horrible-for-the-planet vinyl floorclothes look amazing! Help me!
