Im looking to seal art made up of many different types of materials (wood, paper, paint, metal, everything...) - I'm looking for it to be crystal clear and not have much in way of harmful chemicals. I realize this product isn't it since it looks like its for mainly wood - any suggestions on an all purpose clear sealant thats also archival? Thanks in advance! View answer

I am building a children's bed out of Yellow Pine for a friend and she is very conscious of VOCs and harmful chemicals. Even Tung Oil is not up to her standards. Is this a product you would recommend for this type of item? Or is there another product you would suggest? View answer

We have a tuck under cinder block/cement garage that is often moist due to seepage from the brick patio over the garage and water seepage into the underground walls. The walls have been painted, but are bubbling in places and in some places the paint is now gone and the block walls are crumbly. What is the best product to use inside the garage to seal out water, and prevent mold/mildew moisture. Is there a sealer that would help seal and prevent moisture from the brick patio from seeping into the garage? View answer

2 questions: 1. What exactly is the HRT protective surface on the Amorim wise cork tiles? I saw acrylic coating referenced below so is it basically water based poly? How many coats appx? 2. Is there anything I can do to prevent water intrusion/dirt buildup in the cracks between the tiles (other than hire a good installer)? Considering glue down installation to help in this regard. Also saw some other folks have used some kind of adhesive between the tiles on the click lock edges to help them stick/prevent peeling or separation. Any recommendations from you folks/manufacturer? Thank you! View answer

How do you compare this product (Rubio Monocoat Hybrid Exterior Wood Protector) and Bioshield Penetrating Oil Sealer? I am looking to use something to reseal and protect my exterior eucalyptus wood furniture that has had some lacquer finish in the past but is capable of accepting oils at this time. The furniture company itself recommends a linseed or teak oil (but a generic one with chemicals of course). View answer

Can this product (AFM SafeCoat, Naturals Clear Penetrating Oil) be used to reapply over wood that was previously treated with a penetrating oil stain applied three-four years ago? (It would be applied to an outdoor shed that the previous owner had treated, approximately 280 sq feet total surface area.) View answer

I have a top of a drafting table I would like to protect and the normal sheets I can purchase are usually green or gray. I was wondering if I could glue this on top of the desk instead and just cut to size. The dimension of my desktop are 72' by 38'. Im considering the Forbo Marmoleum Striato - Sheet in compressed time. Could I order just what I needed? Since it is 79' wide just order a 40' cut? If so, what direction would the lines be running?
