We are building out our sprinter van ???? and have a raw wood countertop in it. What is the best product to seal/protect the countertop (solid wood not butcher block)? We do not plan to cut directly on it but the sink is built into it and it will get wet. I was told that linseed will not protect it from water damage and mildew, is this true? Would polyurethane be a better choice? View answer

I am currently building an enclosure for my Bearded dragons, the entire inside of the enclosure will be covered with sanded grout and will need to be sealed. I understand this product to be low odor and no VOC when applying. But my concern is when exposed to my 75 watt heat lamp will this product leach chemicals or fumes over time. Imagine being locked in a box 24 hours a day with noxious fumes. Not a pretty picture. Anyone have any thoughts? View answer

I have a 40 year old teak dining room table. After wiping it down there are areas that are lighter than others from rubbing too hard. can I apply this Koloranti teak oil to blend the light and darker areas to make them less noticeable without stripping the wood down first. I am not looking for perfection just an improvement? Thank you View answer

I'm interested in using this for laundry but am unclear how to. Joel H mentioned his wife uses 1 tablespoon per load for a front loader. Is this undiluted, or the 20:1 diluted version? Would I just pour this tablespoon on the clothes or would it be better to mix it up in more water then pour this onto the clothes? Our front loader has a dosing system that I don't like so I add detergent directly to the drum now. View answer

Can I use this in a portable Bissell Little Green? I don't have any carpet due to allergies and want a portable little vacuum cleaner for the car and for area rugs but don't like the look of their formulas which mostly have fragrance or scotchguard. They can't seem to explain to me the technicals of why you can't mix carpet shampoo products between portable and upright machines. View answer

We are creating "hides" for small animals and reptiles out of PVC and other plastic products. We are using a water based "oil" paint to create "logs" for use in animal habitats out our zoo. We are needing a non-toxic clear sealer to protect the paint from wear. Our main concern is toxicity to the animals. Some are rodents and will chew the product. Also, does the sealer come in a spray?I saw a comment that the sealer seemed like decoupage. Would it be possible for us to mix the sealer with our paint to create a texture on our "logs?" I am considering cork planks in my midsouth home with a crawl space foundation. If I have a plywood subfloor, will I need to put down any underlayment or vapor barrier? I read about using a foam underlayment to help with any imperfections, but I wanted to collect more data about it. View answer
