I have several samples of Marmoleum Cocoa that I like very much but would prefer a much higher gloss sheen. Can this (or Forbo commercial gloss finish) be applied to new Marmoleum for the specific purpose of achieving a higher gloss? I understand that topshield2 does not require additional finish for surface protection. I am simply looking to achieve higher gloss on the Marmoleum Cocoa (without compromising it's durability). If not this product, what could be used to gloss up satin Marmoleum. Thanks.

We wouldn't recommend applying a new finish to a new Marmoleum floor as this would prevent you from achieving the full benefits of the Topshield2. A few other points to consider are that applying a new finish will increase your floor care procedures, as the aftermarket finish will wear off much quicker then the Topshield2 and as a result you would need to go in and remove the remaining aftermarket finish and then re-coat the material vs. simply maintaining the existing Topshield2. We also recommend against high gloss finish as the higher the gloss level the more you will see any scratches in the surface of the material.
