Looking for the best wood sealant for some wooden baby toys we have made for our children. we used raw unfinished wood and then painted them with the liquid watercolor. My toddler will play with them now just fine that they are all dried out but my issues comes from my 8 month old who desperately wants to put everything in her mouth. Even though they are dry if they get wet some of the colour leaches off. Looking for a way to protect their toys, and protect the colour on their toys so that both ages can play with them safely and without winding up looking like the colour of the rainbow when my youngest teethes on everything she can get ahold of. I used Safecoat oil wax finish on my raw knotty alder doors that turned out beautiful but darker than expected. I want to oil additional raw ponderosa pine but the oil doesn't turn out dark enough. Is there any way to add some color to the oil to try to match the pine? I have tried samples of your other stains on the wood to try to match the doors, but nothing is the right color. Any ideas? We recently had a live edge walnut table made for us and the builder finished it with Watco Danish Oil. We have three small children and don't feel the finish is hardy enough for us and we want something that is safe for our kids to eat off of and will be water repellant. I will soon be building a small barn that will house 8 chickens and 3 Nigerian Dwarf goats. We will put in a plywood floor (with some insulation beneath). On top of the plywood, I'll lay down horse mats and then the hay. My contractor has asked me to find a product to safely (for the animals) seal the plywood. Would one or your products work?
