I was advised to use oil-based Rustoleum to seal indoor wicker furniture. The fumes were horrific. Two months later there is still a toxic smell. Is there a SafeCoat or other non-toxic clear sealer I can spray over the Rustoleum coat to eliminate lock in the fumes and lock in the wicker material so it doesn't deteriorate? Can your low gloss sealer be used on a colored concrete basement floor with in-floor heat? The concrete was beautiful before we finished the basement. Now it has some scratches and spray from putting in the sheetrock, etc. I can get most of the sheetrock spray off, but want to get the concrete to shine again. We built the house two years ago. I have an old township road bridge plank that I am wanting to refinish and make interior shelving. The plank has a tar odor emitting. I am looking for a clear odor blocking sealer, and would LIKE to be able to keep the rustic look, but have nicely finished. Product advice? View answer

Has anyone put a coat of gloss over a coat of matte? I had someone do my floors with this and discovered after the final coat that I have enough extra gloss left over for a 4th coat and wonder what it might look like. I'd rather add a layer for durability than waste it, but not if it's going to look bad. I'm not real concerned if it comes out a little glossier, but don't want "milky," but it's over a very light natural maple so maybe it won't appear "milky?" View answer

I'm about to have some hardwood flooring refinished and a water-based polyurethane coating will be used. What questions do I need to ask to make sure no toxic ingredients will be used? Also, which is easier to install--Marmoleum click or Cork click? This will be for a DIY kitchen and mudroom installation. View answer

We have an ash floor in our sun room and it is time to be refinished. I would like to get away from the conventional polyurethanes and was looking at your products. How would your product hold up to the sunlight, and what light stain product could I use with your sealer? View answer

I am looking for a matte finish. In two places for the AFM Safecoat, it notes that if you want a satin finish, you need to add one base coat of gloss first. But in a third place it notes the same applies for a matte finish. So, which is it? And furthermore, why is that? Seems like a lot of money to spend for a quart of Gloss that I'll barely need and will probably never come close to finishing. Thanks for your response. View answer
