I want to use the Marmoleum on a three season porch that is up on Sonotubes. The current substrate is plywood over which an old indoor/outdoor carpet had been laid. We will rip up the carpet and use the plywood underneath. Is there a concern about the fact that the porch is three season and open underneath by about a foot or so? In a few years I will need to replace some more floors. So linseed oil and cork are smells I react to - does the smell really go away and after how long? I am going to put "Donkey Island" in our butler pantry, laundry room and a small guest bathroom. I am looking at Natural Cherry wood for cupboards in the pantry. I have looked at floating vinyl plank floors and don't like the sound they make, even when backed with cork or foam. In the past, we used original Marmoleum squares glued on a concrete floor and it was rock solid for 20+ years, but this will be on a newly built OSB floor and we'd prefer not to glue.
