The installation instructions say not to use in a dry environment. My house does get very dry (20s-30s) in the winter and even with room humidifier I have not found a way to raise the humidity much. The house is heated with central heating. How does this affect the flooring? if i store the flooring indoors for weeks to a month to offgas before installing and it is that dry, would that make the installation more problematic? would it make the clicks more brittle? I have looked at floating vinyl plank floors and don't like the sound they make, even when backed with cork or foam. In the past, we used original Marmoleum squares glued on a concrete floor and it was rock solid for 20+ years, but this will be on a newly built OSB floor and we'd prefer not to glue.
