SAMPLE - ECOS Wall Primer Q&A
Activity timeframe
Hello, I am trying to decide between AFM primer that seals in vocs or Ecos air purifying primer. I might end up having to use a different zero voc brand latex or acrylic paint that our contractors can purchase quickly. Could you tell me what would be the best primer to use in a mixer of new drywall and older painted drywall that will be zero voc and help seal up the smells and chemicals from the new drywall ? I am using the Murco M100 drywall joint compound to do a skim coat over existing paint. I am planning on doing a coat of primer on the existing paint before adding the joint compound skim coat, and then another coat of primer over the joint compound before adding paint. Which type of primer would be best to use under the joint compound, and which would be best to go over the joint compound? View answer

I have a child's bedroom wall with significant crack. I was going to use AFM soft coat caulking to fill crack. Do I need primer after that (low voc) and if so, should it be anti mold primer, and which one? Which low or no voc paint should I use on top of primer? View answer

I have oil based paint on my cabinets and woodwork in my home. House was painted 16 years ago when I purchased it. It is now needing to be painted but I am allergic to toxic oil based paint. I have been told my cabinets should be sanded and a primer applied before painting a water based latex paint. I'm told primers That are used for this have a terrible odor when applied and I need to avoid anything with strong odors and toxic chemicals. Do you have a primer that would take care of this issue...? .thank you..Liz .. View answer
