Can I use this to help protect my engineered hardwood? It is a darker matte/non-polyurethane finish and we like the low gloss look. I can't seem to find any polish or protectant that doesn't require a polyurethane finish or that has that as a base. View answer

20 years ago we used a " natural"oil wax (my memory thinks it was called OS wax) on the 6" maple plank floor that's in our kitchen and throughout the 1st floor. I remember a feature: supposedly you could just clean & lightly sand worn areas and reapply, and it would blend... Can I do this with Safe Coat, or do I have to sand the whole floor? The whole kitchen area is pretty worn down and grey, so I need to "refinish" that area and blend with the golden color of the floor that has been under rugs. View answer
