SAMPLE - AFM SafeCoat, Naturals Oil Wax Finish Q&A
Activity timeframe
Our home is 175 years old. We sanded and used gym seal on many of the pine floors about 35 years ago. Needless to say, they're looking dry and sad. Must we sand before using AFM Naturals Oil Wax finish? How long must we wait to replace rugs and furniture? Also, I don't understand on the pdf of instructions about "buffing" with sandpaper. I have 60 year old hardwood floors that have been covered with carpeting from previous owner and now they have been exposed for about 30 years and they have been only waxed with Johnson and Johnson hardwood floor wax which you can no longer get. Right now they are just worn with nothing at all on them and I need to find a wax that will bring them back to life. Will this wax do the job for my floors? View answer

Will this work on Baltic birch that will be exposed to high temperatures, as well as sub freezing temperatures? Looking to seal the interior of a teardrop trailer that will be stored outdoors in Nevada. I'm steering away from the polyureseal as blushing from condensation is a possibility. View answer

Hello. I have LEED Certified oiled wood flooring in my condo. It is stained dark walnut. Currently I clean it with Bona floor cleaner and a mop. , and vacuum in between. There are small areas or wear near kitchen sink and a few nicks but it is otherwise beautiful. Will this product revive these areas as well as protect the floor from more scratches and nicks? How do you apply it to a large area? View answer

I am building a children's bed out of Yellow Pine for a friend and she is very conscious of VOCs and harmful chemicals. Even Tung Oil is not up to her standards. Is this a product you would recommend for this type of item? Or is there another product you would suggest? View answer

I used Safecoat oil wax finish on my raw knotty alder doors that turned out beautiful but darker than expected. I want to oil additional raw ponderosa pine but the oil doesn't turn out dark enough. Is there any way to add some color to the oil to try to match the pine? I have tried samples of your other stains on the wood to try to match the doors, but nothing is the right color. Any ideas? The pine is really light color. View answer

We recently had a live edge walnut table made for us and the builder finished it with Watco Danish Oil. We have three small children and don't feel the finish is hardy enough for us and we want something that is safe for our kids to eat off of and will be water repellant. There are a couple knots in the wood and small gaps in the board seams that need to be filled as well to prevent crumbs and liquid from entering - will I be able to use this product for this purpose as well or do you have another one you might recommend? Hi there! We just installed maple butcher block countertops. We used a tung oil to stain them but want to ensure the surface is protected and would love a little shine and smoothing of the surface. What would you recommend that would be safe when in contact with food? And achieve the finish necessary to protect a countertop. Side note, our house is well lived in; 3 small children :) thank you in advance! View answer

We are interested in using your SafeCoat oil/wax sealer for our soon-to-be sanded 80+ year-old oak floors. We live outside Detroit, Michigan. How long does shipping normally take once ordered? Also, when is it safe to apply and what is the ballpark estimated drying time before floors can be walked on? View answer
