Hello, I am installing a click-lock engineered hardwood flooring on top of an existing wood floor. The manufacturer recommended underlayment is a 2-in-1 foam underlayment, max 1/8" thick. A vapor barrier is important here as the level directly below is the cellar (not heated) and there is no subfloor below the existing floor. Would this product work to block bass sound coming from below? My neighbor below plays music at all times, and regardless of years of complaints the sound never stops. I am adding 1/2" pressed felt floor pads and 3"inch floor rugs to all my rooms. Would adding this on top of wood floors, below the felt padding add additional sound absorption?
