Hi, I am looking to seal a cypress, outdoor ceiling as clear as possible with UV protection. I would like to maintain the natural appearance of the wood(no stain), Will your product work for this application without cracking, pealing or discoloring over time? Our GC has used Cabot and it has a natural stain in it that I do not care for. Any assistance is appreciated. View answer

Plan to install travertine flooring. Per industry recommendations, will use two layers of 3/4" subfloor (not glued together) to get a stiff floor section. However, we are concerned such a stiff floor will be 'hard' to walk on, day in, day out. Would cork add some 'give' back to this floor if applied on top of the two layers of 3/4 subflooring? I just bought a dining table that is stained pine. Is this the best product to use to seal and protect it so food or oils from food do not stain it and it can be easily wiped up? The person who built it recommended a polyurethane coat but I'm worried about toxic chemicals especially where we will be eating food. View answer

Getting ready to install the Marmoleum Click we received yesterday. In those areas where the panels must be cut to fit around obstructions or can't be angled in, Forbo's instructions call for shaving down the groove side of the panel and to use "wood glue" to substitute for the click mechanism. They don't specify what type of "wood glue." Am I free to use the "Titebond II" indoor/outdoor wood glue that I have on hand? One video that I found recommends using vinyl adhesive caulk, which gave me some cause for concern. Thank you in advance for your response! View answer

I am wanting to seal raw cedar to protect it from snow and rain. I am looking for a penetrating oil WITHOUT UV protection. I have been told the added UV protectants will cause the cedar to take on an orange/red coloring. I want to preserve it's natural light color. Does this product fit the bill? View answer

I am refinishing a set of 1940s steel cabinets. Two of the base cabinets have what I believe to be linoleum countertops. They are surrounded by stainless steel edging. There is a curve where the flat countertop and the short backsplash meet. Will your product be able to make that curve (perhaps with heat)? The widths of the cabinets are 18" and 30" so there would not be a long section needing to handle the curve. View answer

We are planning on putting this in a bathroom as well. On their install-info on the website, it states " However, in order to prevent the water to penetrate under the installed floor (which can create conditions for growing of fungus, mold or smell), a polyurethane sealant must be applied on expansion joints. Do you have anything for that? Also, when they joints I assume it means where the boards connect to each other? I am sure normal caulking around the tub etc is standard. View answer

We are planning on putting this over porcelain tile. We are in Arizona where the climate is really dry. Do we need to use a moisture barrier or can we go straight on the tile? We are worried about something spilling on the floors and the barrier having an opposite effect and causing mold because there is no way for it to breathe. View answer

I believe the hard seal that I ordered from a different company that was closer to me. Let it freeze during shipping. I put it on wood items and its cloudy and uneven. Does this mean that the product is no longer usable? I don't mind using it in a garage cabinet if its still going to work to block off gassing and give a good seal over the cabinet. Next time, I'll buy it from you and work out the longer wait time to receive it. View answer
