I used Safecoat oil wax finish on my raw knotty alder doors that turned out beautiful but darker than expected. I want to oil additional raw ponderosa pine but the oil doesn't turn out dark enough. Is there any way to add some color to the oil to try to match the pine? I have tried samples of your other stains on the wood to try to match the doors, but nothing is the right color. Any ideas? I don't know if it was an oil or water based product that was originally on the table when I bought it 15 years ago. We recently had a live edge walnut table made for us and the builder finished it with Watco Danish Oil. We have three small children and don't feel the finish is hardy enough for us and we want something that is safe for our kids to eat off of and will be water repellant.
